Anne Graham Lotz to be Honored by Women in Media

Anne Graham Lotz, ministry founder and daughter of evangelist Billy Graham, will be honored by the group Women in Christian Media at their annual conference next week in Nashville.

The founder of the AnGeL ministries, which seeks to proclaim the word of God in a way that is personal and relevant to ordinary people, will be the recipient of the Excellence in Communications Award at the 4th annual conference for professional women from TV, radio, publishing and the internet working in Christian ministries and organizations.

"We are privileged to have such an example of grace and excellence in Christian communication join the ranks of former recipients of this national award," said WCM president Suellen Roberts.

Lotz has proclaimed the word of God to people around the world for more than 30 years through narratives that are both heart-touching as well as inspiring. Her messages have reached people in arenas, prison cells, stadiums, Bible studies and seminaries.

The ministry leader is a best-selling author with nine books to her name, including her most widely known book, Just Give Me Jesus.

Previous recipients of the WCM Excellence in Communication award include Kay Arthur of Precept International; Janet Parshall of the radio program Janet Parshall's America; and Joni Eareckson Tada of the ministry Joni & Friends.

The theme of this year's WCM conference will be "Journey to Revival" signifying the rejuvenation that professional women will experience at the "grace-filled" conference. It will be held at the Opryland Gaylord in Nashville on Feb. 5-6 in conjunction with the 2009 National Religious Broadcasters Convention & Exposition on Feb. 7-10.
