Apple Event March 2017 News: Rumored Launch Event Next Week to Finally Release New iPad Pro Models?
Apple may still be planning to pull off a March event near the end of the month as rumors about a possible product launch next week continue to spread.
According to MacRumors, the Cupertino-based tech company will be announcing new products in the week of March 20–24. This is according to reputable supply chain analysts they have been in contact with, who claimed that the information came from their own sources and is not based on any other reports.
But no further information was disclosed regarding which products will be unveiled during the rumored event. Based on current speculations, Apple enthusiasts are hoping for new iPad Pro models to be launched, which may include updates on the existing 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch variants and a brand-new 10.5-inch model that features slimmer bezels.
An iPad refresh has been a long time coming, and many reputed sources including KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and Barclays analyst Blayne Curtis have been looking forward to its purported launch.
Rumors about an Apple March event was first triggered by Japanese blog Mac Otakara, who speculated late last year that the company is set to debut its new iPad Pro lineup along with a larger iPhone SE model. The blog also claimed that Apple may introduce an option for red-colored iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models.
The company has not yet sent out media invites for the rumored March event, which should've been sent out at least 10 days prior to the scheduled event, based on the company's standard practice. Gadget 360 speculated that the company may either send out invites soon and hold an event later than next week, or announce the event via a press release.
The rumored Apple March event remains unconfirmed, especially with reports of the company delaying the supposed March launch event to May or June, and the most recent speculation of a possible April 4 event at the Steve Jobs Theater.
