Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus: Models With 'Force Touch' Under Production?
The next batch of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus may already be equipped with the new "Force Touch" technology, according to reports. News came from certain suppliers of Apple, revealing that they have started early runs for the next batch of production.
Bloomberg first reported the news, citing sources from the suppliers that were not named. They said that the production of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6s and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6s Plus with the revolutionary "Force Touch" technology has already commenced, indicating that mass production may begin as early as next month.
The new feature that will be present supposedly in this coming batch of iPhones is called "Force Touch." It is the same feature that is already being used with the Apple Watch. It allows the device to distinguish between a light tap and a deep press, therefore allowing different types of commands to go with different types of touches. Apple was also added "Force Touch" in the new trackpad of the 12-inch MacBook, so it is not surprising to find it on other Apple devices soon.

An earlier report in Tech Times indicated that the company has talking to suppliers of high-end flexible printed circuit boards which are a necessary component for "Force Touch" technology.
A well-known Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, revealed that the new technology will have a different function in the iPhones. Force Touch for the iPhone will not be about distinguishing how hard or soft the pressure, but "will monitor the contact area on which the finger touches the screen to decide how big the pressure is."
Both new iPhones are reported to be unveiled in September together with the new iOS 9.
