Apple to Release Entirely New Mac?
Apple is supposedly planning to release an all new Mac that is “absolutely different from its current products,” according to Makatakara.jp.
The site said it received this information from an Asian supplier company.
The new model is said to have a completely different name and brand identity from anything Apple currently sells.
According to 9to5Mac, Makatakara’s information is not always accurate, but added that it did predict the correct release date for the iPad 2.
No details on specs for the new models were released by the site.
Appleinsider stated that this new model could be a line of MacBook Pros taking on a MacBook Air design, making them much thinner with no disc drives, and giving them a solid state drive instead of a moving hard drive.
9to5Mac spoke about the possibility of Apple releasing a product with a complete platform switch from Intel to ARM processors.
They speculate that these rumors could tie in with what Makatakara is reporting.
