Apple TV 5th-Generation 2017 Release Date, Rumors: Product May Launch With 4K Support

The Cupertino giant Apple is well known for its innovative technology, giving rise to its long line of smartphones, laptops and having introduced a revolutionary gadget, the iPad. Those are the top devices the brand is well-known for, and it seems like almost everyone forgot that it also offers what they call an Apple TV, though apparently consumers will be reminded of that this year.

According to International Business Times, the fifth-generation Apple TV is expected to be 4K-capable, which is a cutting-edge feature that has been all the rage in recent times. The tech company appears to be trying to keep up with the times by updating the Apple TV, and it came at a rather opportune time.

It has been some time since consumers have heard anything about such device, and so Apple will need to announce it with a big bang for everyone to notice. There are speculations that it may launch alongside the much-awaited iPhone 8 during the September event, carrying with it the hype of the brand's flagship product.

Similar to Apple's line of smartphones, the Apple TV is also celebrating its 10th year in 2017, so in some ways one can expect that it will also aim to surprise and astound tech aficionados, hoping to hook more audiences to it once more. If so, one can assume that it will have other features that could be a trailblazer in its own right.

As such, Macworld thinks that the new Apple TV may be sporting the newest operating system, which could be dubbed the iOS 11. As for the promise of 4K, Bloomberg has reported that it will most probably have ultra-high definition with vivid colors, which is the very definition of it.

These are all to be taken with a grain of salt, but knowing Apple, they will surely think things over to not disappoint fans.
