Apple Watch Coming to Retail Stores in 2 Weeks

After almost two months since its release and availability via online channels only, the elusive Apple Watch is finally coming to retail stores in two weeks. After the smartwatch was unveiled in September 2014, Apple scheduled its release in April, but due to the watch's limited supply, only a few consumers were able to get their hands on the new wearable.

This will help boost sales for the watch, if Apple will be able to supply the demand for said watch, according to a report in Tech Times. This also signals that Apple has already fulfilled most of the backlogged online orders and are now ready to make it available in physical retail stores of the company.

The announcement however said that "some models" will be "in stock" in two weeks.

"The response to Apple Watch has surpassed our expectations in every way, and we are thrilled to bring it to more customers around the world," said Apple's senior vice president for Operations, Jeff Williams.

In a press release, the company also thanked its customers for "their patience" and highlighted the fact that they are almost done with "clearing the backlog" of watch orders. Those who ordered until May will be receiving their orders in the next two weeks except for one model, the 42mm Black Stainless Steel with Space Black Link Bracelet.

The other good news is that seven new countries has been added to where the Apple Watch will be made available. These include Italy, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland and Taiwan. Starting June 26, Apple will be expanding to these markets, through the Apple Online Store and through local retail stores.

Apple has not officially revealed which models will be made available in their retail stores, but this move may mean better sales for the smartwatch and help the company catch up with other wearable brands in the market.

The Apple Watch has three collections: the more casual Apple Watch Sport, Apple Watch and the high-end Apple Watch Edition. The lowest priced model is $349 while the most expensive models start at $10,000 and go as high as $17,000.
