Apple's WWDC Scheduled for June 10-14
Apple announced the dates for its Worldwide Developers Conference this week.
The event is set to take place from June 10-14 at Moscone West convention center in San Francisco. Tickets will go for $1599 and will be available for purchase at 10:00 a.m P.D.T. tomorrow morning.
"We look forward to gathering at WWDC 2013 with the incredible community of iOS and OS X developers," said Philip Schiller, Apple's Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. "Our developers have has the most prolific and profitable year ever, and we're excited to show them the latest advances in software technologies and developer tools to help them create innovative new apps. We can't wait to get new versions of iOS and OS X into their hands at WWDC."

This is one of the first years that Apple has waited to put the tickets on sale as the company normally offers them simultaneously with its announcement. However, the issue of tickets selling out in shorter amounts of time has become problematic and Apple has taken a different approach issuing a specific sale time this year.
Tickets for last year's WWDC sold out in less than two hours even with some of the company's requirements for purchase. In order to obtain passes to the event, buyers must be a member of one of Apple's paid developer programs. For this year's conference, Apple requires that developers have been members of a paid program prior to the sale announcement. This is put in place in order to curb last minute registering. Younger developers between the ages of 13 and 17 must have their passes purchased by a parent or guardian who must also be a member.
Tickets are limited to just one per person and five total per organization. Developers not able to attend will have the opportunity to view session videos that Apple will be posting during the conference this year.
