April the Giraffe Giving Birth Live Stream Cam: Change in Belly Shape, New Position of Calf Ready for Birth

April the giraffe, expectant mother and Internet sensation, is being closely watched as she is expected to deliver her baby any moment now. Both fans and the staff of Animal Adventure Park watches closely as April prepares for the final moments of her pregnancy.

While the Animal Adventure Park has been expecting April to give birth over the weekend, it looks like the giraffe will extend her pregnancy term for just a while longer, as reported by Fox 59. Nevertheless, millions of fans watch along with the anxious staff of the Animal Adventure Park for any signs of labor, as April is due to finally give birth any moment now.

Animal Adventure Park first began sharing April's pregnancy to the online world through a live stream on Feb. 23. The live video has been taken down for a time after animal rights activists have protested the online video of the captive giraffe by flagging the contents as "sexually explicit." The video was restored at a later date.

While understandably concerned, the staff of Animal Adventure Park that have been monitoring April's condition said that the animal is still not late giving birth. Even as the expected birth did not come to pass on the weekend, viewers did notice what could be "pushing contractions."

On Monday, the Animal Adventure Park posted a new update about April the giraffe on their official Facebook page. According to the post, there's a slight change of behavior observed on the expectant mother. "This morning keeper report is no interest in grain and only smelling lettuce treats. No discomfort evident, no distress – normal progression as expected in the process," The short update reassured April's fans.

"Many of you may have witnessed what appeared as 'pushing' contractions last night. The team and vet were in communication regarding these and were documented throughout the night. Let's see if April's plan is to break up your work week!" the report added.

On Thursday, the Facebook page read: "Allysa's morning report is of significant change in April's shape. Her body/belly is much less beach balled, as the bulges have streamlined. Perhaps suggesting a new position of calf...we hope for launch sequence! "
