Arian Foster Sued by College Student Claiming He Pressured Her to Have an Abortion
A Houston woman has filed a lawsuit claiming she is pregnant with Texans running back Arian Foster's baby. The woman says in the lawsuit that Foster has been pressuring her to abort the child.
Brittany Norwood, a 20-year-old senior at the University of Houston, claims she spent time with Foster last summer while he attended a training camp in Houston, and then again in November in California while Foster recovered from back surgery. Foster is already married with children.
In the lawsuit recently filed in Texas, Norwood alleges that both Foster and his brother "constantly harassed [her] to get an abortion for the child." Foster and his brother, Abdul, allegedly sent text messages to her pressuring her to abort the child.

According to Norwood, one of the text messages from Foster read: "You just can't bring a life into this world under these circumstances. It's not fair to anyone. It's not just about you." Another text message from Abdul reportedly told Norwood "'… if you loved Arian at all you would have an abortion because this child is going to ruin everything … like, our whole family will never accept this child.'"
Norwood claims she had no knowledge of Foster's marriage when she first became intimate with the Houston Texans running back last summer. Foster has been largely out of the media spotlight recently, as he only played eight games with the NFL team this past season before being placed on reserve following a back injury.
On Tuesday, a Houston Judge ordered both Norwood and Foster to comply with a mutual injunction to stay away from each other while the lawsuit plays out. Norwood had initially requested a restraining order against the NFL player due to the threatening texts, and the judge ruled that neither side can harass each other while the case continues. Foster's attorney had also requested a gag order for Norwood, claiming the 20-year-old was planning to make a reality show about her pregnancy, but the request was denied.
Norwood says she obtained a DNA test that proves a 99.9 percent probability that Foster is the father of her child. She told KHOU-TV that Foster hasn't helped pay for any of her medical bills and she's scared of being a single mom. "I'm 20, I'm scared, I'm another single mom," she told the local media station.
Norwood added to the local media outlet that she has a message for Foster: "I just want you to love and want the exact same life for my son that I do."
