Ariana Grande Talks Rihanna Reportedly Laughing at Her Dancing
Ariana Grande is reacting to reports that her fellow singer Rihanna was joking about her iHeart Radio Awards performance earlier this month.
Rihanna, the 26-year-old Barbadian singer, was spotted in the audience during 20-year-old Grande's performance of her song "Problem." While Rihanna appeared to be laughing during the performance, a number of blogs insinuated that the reason was Grande's dancing.
While appearing on the Australian radio program, "The Bump Show" Grande shared her thoughts on the matter.
"I didn't see her laughing at me, but when I watched it afterwards it looked like she was just shocked because I was doing something different," Grande said. "Afterwards she was so kind to me, she was like, 'Lil' mama keep doing what you're doing because it's working.'"
Instead of getting angry with Rihanna, Grande seemed annoyed at the seemingly false media speculation and attempts by some to try and start a feud between the two.
"I thought it was funny that people tried to make such a commotion out of it when she was just being playful and supportive," she said. "People are always trying to make a big deal out of nothing because they're bored."
Grande is gearing up to duet with another famous singer, Justin Bieber.
"I'm excited about it, I'm just very excited," she said during an interview with "On Air With Ryan Seacrest." "Justin wrote it and brought the idea to me and I was really excited to hear it and I'm excited to work with him. I've wanted to work with him for a while."
The singer acknowledged that fans of both she and Bieber, 20, have been wanting the pair to team up for some time.
"I know it's something our fans have been begging for for years now," she said on the radio show. "I'm hoping it ends up on my album, which will be out late summer."
