Arizona Coyotes vs Detroit Red Wings Live Stream Free: Watch Online NHL Hockey (Preview)
The struggling Arizona Coyotes will try to break their winless streak as they face the Detroit Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena in the NHL. The puck drops on March 24, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Arizona are at the bottom of the Pacific Division with only 50 points so far, only slightly better than the Atlantic Division's Buffalo Sabres who are at 47.
They have not won in their last eight matches and have lost 18 of their last 19 so far.
The Coyotes have found it tough to score as they've only registered eight goals in the last eight matches. Even worse is that they've been playing without Martin Hanzal and Mikkel Boedker for much of the calendar year as both suffered injuries that have ruled them out for the season.
Meanwhile, Detroit have fared only slightly better as they have won three of their last eight matches. They recently beat the St. Louis Blues 2-1 after an overtime goal from Justin Abdelkader. Their home record has dipped as well, after winning six straight as hosts they've only won three of their next seven.
As far as injuries, three of their stars are listed as day-to-day as Johan Franzen is still recovering from a concussion he suffered early in January. Similarly, Jonas Gustavsson picked up the same problem early in March. Finally, Pavel Datsyuk is sidelined after a lower body injury less than a week ago and is a game-day decision.
Their first meeting of the season ended in a 3-1 win for the Red Wings, as Riley Sheahan opened the scoring in the second period with a power-play goal. Tomas Tatar scored with three minutes left in the game to possibly put the game to bed but Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored a minute later to give the Coyotes life.
Detroit finally restored the two-goal cushion and eventually won the game when Darren Helm scored only after 40 seconds of the Coyotes goal.
