'Arrested Development' Season 5 Renewed or Canceled? New Season Confirmed, Will Arnett Spills the Beans?
Will Arnett has just revealed that he and the rest of the cast of "Arrested Development" will be back for another season on Netflix. The actor confirmed the good news while he was making his rounds promoting the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" reboot.
"Yes we are gonna do more 'Arrested Development,'" said Arnett on the Today show.
Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos spoke with USA Today and confirmed that season 5 was going to happen.

"It's just a matter of when," said Sarandos. Arnett echoed Sarandos' statement.
"You know, the truth is, that's the guy who's the big boss at Netflix, he announced it. We don't know when, but it's going to happen," said Arnett on "The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon."
Sarandos also mentioned that scheduling is the primary concern to get the ball rolling on production for the new season.
It can be recalled that Netflix revived the cult series for a 15-episode fourth season. "Arrested Development" was canceled on FOX in 2006 and made its fourth season premiere on 2013. Meanwhile, talks of an "Arrested Development" movie have been going around since show runner Mitch Horowitz and the rest of the cast insisted that it definitely was in the works.
Hopefully, the cast can work out a schedule to start filming the new season of the show as most of the actors are currently working on other projects at the moment.
Arnett is working on the Netflix comedy series "BoJack Horseman" which will air its first episode on Aug. 22; Jason Bateman has just completed "Horrible Bosses 2" and is currently filming "The Family Fang"; Portia de Rossi has just finished filming "Now Add Honey" and has been recently cast in the fourth season of "Scandal"; and Michael Cera is filming "Sausage Party."
