'Arrested Development' Season 5 possibly to stream online by mid-2016.

After Season 4 in May 2013, Netflix has been dropping hints of a brand new Season 5 of the critically acclaimed, "Arrested Development". Till now, everything was hazy with Netflix not confirming anything. But now, reports are circulating that production on Season 5 might start from January or February next year and it might stream online by mid-2016.

If this is confirmed news, fans of "Arrested Development" will rejoice. Fans of the series had always hoped that the show would return as a full season soon after Season 4 ended.

"Arrested Development" is an Emmy-winning comedy about a dysfunctional family which has lost all its wealth and are now trying to cope with this fact in the family members' own eccentric ways. This raises unintentional laughs and many consider its comic writing to be iconic. It ran on Fox from 2003 to 2006. Then Netflix ran the 4th season in May 2013. Now fans want the Bluth family and their antics back.

The producers themselves believe that there are more stories of the Bluth family to be told. The show's producer, Brian Grazer told CNN Money, "The show's creator Mitch Hurwitz is creating a writer's room right now. We're going to get everybody on board."

But getting everybody on board has been difficult.

As IGN reports, at the Television Critics Association Press Tour in Beverly Hills, California, Netflix's chief content officer Ted Sarandos recently confirmed the show was "plugging along." He said, "It's a long complex deal to make for these guys, both because the talent is very busy and working on other shows, but also because the show is owned by [20th Century] Fox. The intent is to have a new season of Arrested Development, and all negotiations are underway."

When it comes to the actors' schedules, Sarandos admitted that working around their schedules has been a major hurdle but he told USA Today that it was "just a matter of when."

If all goes according to the plans that Netflix has, Season 5 of "Arrested Development" would become a reality next year.
