'Arrow' News, Update: New Dragon Con Trailer Sizzles With Season 4 Teasers
Touted by the show's executive producer Wendy Mericle as a trailer that could "break the Internet," the new promo video for the highly-anticipated fourth season of The CW's hit superhero drama TV series, "Arrow," debuted at the Dragon Con on Friday, September 4.
The highlight reel gave fans the opportunity to get the first on-screen peek at some of the new aspects coming for Season 4 including a revamped lair, fresh super outfits, as well as new baddies, just to name a few.
For those who missed it, the trailer starts with Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Beckett Rickards) enjoying the pleasures of their domestic lives away from Starling City.
The scenes then cut to show the road sign declaring that Ollie's beloved place is now renamed to "Star City," in memory of Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) whom people assumed to have gone down along with the destruction of Palmer Technologies back in Season 3.
The tempo then escalates to reveal the tension felt all throughout the whole Team Arrow. Diggle (David Ramsey) is clearly not pleased with Oliver walking away. But the sidekick might have to set aside his resentments as new threats are already rising which they themselves can't handle.
New faces can also be seen in the video, including Echo Kellum who is playing as Felicity's helper Mr. Terrific, JR Bourne as the villain Double Down, Alexander Calvert as Anarky, Matt Ryan as the beloved John Constantine, and Neal McDonough as this season's big bad, Damien Darhk.
On the other side of town, a tension happens between Nyssa al Ghul (Katrina Law) and Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), the new head of the League.
Speaking of the place, Queen's ex Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) was seen emerging from what appears to be the Lazarus Pit. This further confirms that the character is alive.
