'Arrow' Producer Reveals What is Next for the Show After Oliver's Fall

"Arrow" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg shared a glimpse of what happens to Starling City after the fall of its leader Oliver Queen.

The producer said that fans are not puzzled if Oliver will return they are actually wondering about how he will return. The question of the fans will be answered in the upcoming three episodes, which will focus on the effects of Oliver's disappearance from Starling City. Viewers will also discover what really happened to him.

On the midseason finale of "Arrow," Oliver was stabbed by Ra's al Ghul and was thrown into a snowy cliff. Stephen Amell who plays Oliver in the series shared a glimpse of his fate in the show.

The actor said that the first nine episodes of "Arrow" will be extremely difficult for the protagonist. The first episode will revisit the fight between Oliver and Ra's al Ghul. Amell added that fans can expect flashbacks but the storyline will continue to play out in real time.

For Amell, there are times that the protagonist must be defeated to facilitate learning and character development. The actor also left a message to his fans by saying "just trust and be patient." "Arrow" followers should be a fan of the entire show because of the story that has been created.

Due to Oliver's disappearance, other team members will be elevated. Among the team, Amell picked Roy as his choice to make a stand while his character is not around.

David Ramsey who plays Oliver's partner John Diggle in "Arrow" shared that the team is "shocked" and "pissed." Ramsey revealed that his character will wear Oliver's costume while he is not around to maintain the illusion that the hero is still present to keep the city safe.

The team is confronted with choices between breaking the team and continuing Oliver's fight without him. Ramsey said that the team will choose to fight but it won't be "pretty."

"Arrow" returns for its third season at 9 p.m. on Jan. 21 at CW.
