'Arrow' Season 3 Cast News, Spoilers, Updates: New Characters and Old Villains Set to Appear in the Show's Second Half
The CW's hit crime-fighting drama series "Arrow" is yet to air the second half of its third season in the coming weeks and fans are hankering for more details on what to expect when the show returns to the small screens. Here's what we heard so far.
According to EcumenicalNews.com, viewers should watch out for the arrival of a new character as well as the return of infamous villains.
As reported, General Matthew Shrieve will appear for the first time in television in which he will be portrayed by actor Marc Singer.
For starters, General Shrieve is the leader of the Creature Commandos in the DC Universe. He had appeared in several comic publications like "V" and "Beastmaster."
Spoiler reports suggested that the newcomer will be featured in Oliver Queen/Green Arrow's (Stephen Amell) flashbacks when he was still in Hong Kong.
TV Line also reported that Slade Wilson, one of Arrow's perpetrators during the second season of the show. Aside from him, Thea's (Willa Holland) love interest, Austin Butler will also be making a comeback.
As season 3 progresses, fans will also see Caity Lotz's Sara coming back for the show in its upcoming 13th episode titled "Canaries."
Speaking of episodes, a synopsis for this year's first episode of Arrow was posted on The Futon Critic and it reads:
"In the aftermath of Oliver's fight with Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable), Diggle (David Ramsey) and Arsenal (Colton Haynes) continue to protect the city in the Arrow's absence. However, after three days without hearing from Oliver, they begin to fear the worst may have happened to their friend."
"Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) refuses to believe that Oliver could be dead until Merlyn (John Barrowman) pays the team a surprise visit. Thea (Willa Holland) suspects there is something more behind Oliver's disappearance and asks Merlyn for a favor," it continued.
"Meanwhile, Ray (Brandon Routh) tests a part of his new suit and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) takes up the mantle of the Black Canary," the summary said.
"Arrow" Season 3 Episode 10 "Left Behind" airs this coming Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
