'Arrow' Season 4 News: New Season Trailer Reveals New Costume, New Villains

Come October 7, "Arrow" will be returning to the small screen on the CW for its fourth season. Stephen Amell will be reprising his role as the green, hooded vigilante. The show recently released a new trailer for the upcoming season and it featured a few new things that viewers can expect to see, according to a report in Slash Film.

In the trailer, Oliver Queen or The Arrow is seen trying to live a normal, suburban life with the love of his life, Felicity, far from his old life in Starling City, where he was running around and fighting off bad guys. He is, however, forced to go back to his old life in what is now known as Star City, because there are new bad guys bringing new threats to the city.

First off, the trailer shows The Arrow in a spanking new costume that will help in his quest to fight crime. There are also new characters that were introduced in the trailer. These include DC characters Mr. Terrific (Echo Kellum), Anarky (Alexander Calvert) and what the report called the season's big-bad Damien Darhk, played by Neal McDonough. JR Bourne will also appear as the villain Double Down.

In the trailer, the League of Assassins is also shown to be alive and well and with a new leader. Malcolm Merlyn, played by John Barrowman, is seen as the new Ra's al Ghul. There are tense moments between him and Ra's al Ghul daughter, Nyssa, as Merlyn takes over the leadership of the League.

The trailer also featured some characters that will crossover from other CW shows and these include Matt Ryan who appears as the occult detective Constantine, and Caity Lotz as Sara Lance, who will be revived as the White Canary from the upcoming series "DC's Legends of Tomorrow."
