'Arrow' Season 5 Episode 19: Felicity Decides Where Her Loyalty Lies
Oliver (Stephen Amell) does not know how to handle the new side of Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) in the upcoming episode of "Arrow."
In the episode titled "Dangerous Liaisons," the promo reveals that Felicity wants the team to go after Chase, aka Prometheus (Josh Segarra), with all guns blazing. She is convinced that Helix, the group of hackers she is currently associated with, is the key to the problem. No matter how much Team Arrow tries, they cannot seem to catch the villain. Felicity is frustrated that they cannot pin down the crimes on Chase, since they cannot prove that he is Prometheus. Oliver wants them to slow down and think things through, but she has had enough.
The clip shows Felicity going rogue. If Oliver does not wish to capture Chase the soonest time possible, she will have to do it on her own. Felicity has grown bolder ever since she met the hackers. She understands their mission and can relate to what they want to do. Oliver tries to convince Felicity to stop whatever she is doing and listen to him. She tells him it is her decision whether she stays or not. Based on both of their expressions, they have no wish to back down. Felicity, in particular, seems intent on finding answers on her own.

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim recently shared with Entertainment Weekly the big shift they have planned for Felicity's character. He said she would be the next Oliver, in the sense that she now understands how his mind works.
"We're starting to put her in Oliver's footsteps a little bit. She's going to get a chance to experience things a little bit more from Oliver's perspective. I think the reason they broke up was her difficulty to see things from Oliver's perspective. They broke up fundamentally because she didn't trust Oliver, and the reason she didn't trust Oliver is she couldn't understand why he made the decisions he made," the EP teased.
"Arrow" season 5 episode 19 airs Wednesday, April 26, at 8 p.m. EDT on the CW.
