Oliver Is Locked Up as Prometheus Tries to Mess With His Mind in 'Arrow' Season 5
In the trailer for the upcoming episode of "Arrow" season 5, Oliver Queen, aka Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), is held hostage by Adrian Chase, aka Prometheus (Josh Segarra).
"Arrow" is a TV series based on the story of DC Comics' character Green Arrow. Oliver started out as a typical happy-go-lucky billionaire until he got stuck in an island for five years. After being found and able to come back home, he secretly followed his father's footsteps and became a vigilante wielding a bow and arrow.
The teaser video for the next episode of "Arrow" opens by showing Oliver in a cell with both his hands chained to the ground. The Green Arrow hero looks like he is in bad shape while Adrian tries to break him through psychological and physical torture.
In another scene, Adrian tells Oliver, "Confess your secret, Oliver, and all this ends." But Oliver refuses to give in to what Adrian wants and tries to break free from his chains instead of answering.
Aside from the physical torture, what obviously cracks Oliver is Adrian's attempts to psychologically break him. Adrian tells Oliver, "You infect every life you touch — even your son." The bad guy then shows Oliver a photo of his smiling son. That obviously irked Oliver, who responded by trying to break away from the chains with all the energy he has.
Oliver remains unfazed and was even able to tell Adrian to "go to h***," to which the bad guy responds by saying he has been there.
The synopsis for the upcoming episode echoes what is shown in the trailer, saying Adrian will go "to great lengths to break Oliver" and fans can only hope that the hero will soon find a way to get out of that cell.
On the other hand, fans of "Arrow" will find Anatoly Knyazev (David Nykl) concerned about Oliver after he noticed that he has become more violent lately. However, when he tries to confront him about it, the situation between the two friends becomes "brutal," according to the synopsis.
The 17th episode of "Arrow" season 5 called "Kapiushon" will air on Wednesday, March 22, at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
