China White, Cupid and Liza Warner return after escaping Iron Heights in 'Arrow' season 5
Last week, "Arrow" aired its most political episode yet as it talked about the gun control debate. In the upcoming episode, the series will go back to its roots as it will feature three villains from previous seasons.
Titled "The Sin-Eater," episode 14 will see the return of China White (Kelly Hu), Cupid (Amy Gumenick) and Liza Warner (Rutina Wesley). A former member of Task Force X, Cupid appeared in season 4 along with Warner.Meanwhile, China White last appeared in season 3 after being featured in a series of flashbacks.
In the series, China White was introduced in the debut season as an assassin for the Chinese Triad. In episode 14, she and the two other villains will break out of Iron Heights while the Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) will deal with his own troubles with the city police.
The synopsis for the episode reads, "China White, Cupid and Liza Warner break out of Iron Heights and head to Star City for revenge. Oliver tries to bring in the newly formed girl gang, but the ACU intervenes mid-fight. To his surprise, they are there to arrest the Green Arrow for the murder of Detective Malone. Meanwhile, Lance feels responsible for the prison break after Warner tells him she heard about him working with Damien Darhk."
Meanwhile, the previous episode also saw the return of Thea Queen (Willa Holland). According to "Arrow" executive producer Wendy Mericle, fans will get to see more of the character in the future episodes.
"She's headed in a direction that's very similar to where her mother was before she was killed in season 2. We're excited about it," she said. Mericle also teased that a great scene is coming up between Thea and Oliver, and that is what fans should watch out for in the future episodes of the series.
"Arrow" season 5 episode 14 airs on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
