Arrowverse Crossover Spoilers, Cast: Oliver to Learn True Love

The highly anticipated crossover of "Arrow," "The Flash," "Supergirl" and "Legends of Tomorrow" will involve more than just the heroes fighting Nazi versions of themselves.

"Arrow" executive producer Wendy Mericle recently teased to TV Guide that the crossover titled "Crisis on Earth-X" is actually Oliver's (Stephen Amell) love story.

It's Oliver and one other character in the Arrowverse's story. It really explores the question of true love, and what does that look like? It's emotionally really compelling, and you're going to be surprised by what he learns and how he learns it and who he learns it from. It's pretty crazy stuff—I'm not going to lie.

Of course, true love comes in all forms. This is especially true in superhero shows. If Mericle was talking about the romantic type, it looks like the Arrowverse crossover and "Arrow" itself will see Oliver and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) together again, as what was teased in the previous season.

Fans of the show are divided about Olicity, with many believing that too much of it held back the fourth season and the lack of it in the previous season allowed it to be the best run of "Arrow" so far.

Both Felicity and Oliver will be attending the wedding of Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton) in the crossover, which might make them realize how close they were to this happy ending too.

There is also the possibility of familial love. After all, Oliver will be juggling three things now — being the Green Arrow, the mayor of Star City and the father to William (Jack Moore).

Leading the city and cleansing it off crime are very challenging, but being a good dad is proving to be the most difficult for him yet as his own son thinks he is a bad man.

The Arrowverse crossover will air on Nov. 27 and 28 on The CW. "Arrow" premieres on Wednesday, Oct. 12.
