Artist Makes 'The Creation of Adam' Like You've Never Seen - With Cake Decorations (VIDEO)
February 18th marked the 450th anniversary of Michelangelo's death. One of his most celebrated pieces is "The Creation of Adam," famously featured on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City.
In homage to the famed Renaissance sculptor and painter, British artist Michelle Wibowo recreated "The Creation of Adam" in her own unique style, using cake decorations. This actually makes sense when you learn that Wibowo is an award-winning cake sculptor, making cakes that are decorated with stunning artistry and realism.
This video shows how she made the piece, starting with pencil drawings and moving on to frosting, marshmallows and sprinkles. Ten thousand marshmallows, 500,000,000 sprinkles and 168 hours later, we can eat up "The Creation of Adam" with, if nothing else, our eyes.
