'Ash vs Evil Dead' Season 3 Release Date News: Starz Announces February 2018 Premiere
A premiere date for the upcoming third season of "Ash vs Evil Dead" has been revealed.
According to Deadline, Starz has announced a February 2018 premiere date for the highly anticipated new season of the horror-comedy series. February is still months away, and fans are definitely on the edge of their seats waiting for what will happen next.
Thankfully, star and executive producer Bruce Campbell sat down with Entertainment Weekly in August to tease what is ahead. And, if Campbell's words are anything to go on, fans are in for a "completely crazy" ride.
"We're hoping it will be a game-changer," Campbell said. "We felt it was time to explore a little more of Ash Williams' myth, because he is foretold in an ancient book — this is not me, this is the character talking — and it was time to crack into that. He's not just a loser in a trailer park. He is 'foretold.'"
He further explained that fans will know why Ash was chosen for the role he has now. He specifically teased that the season 3 finale will leave fans in a shock. With everything that has happened so far, fans have come to expect nothing less.
"That's what we're going for. Nothing will be the same if we come back for season 4," Campbell said. "And yet, if they don't bring us back, I think we've done a nice little 'ba-dink.'"
The upcoming season will consist of 10 episodes. After the events of season 2, Ash is now considered a hero in Elk Grove. However, there is more evil lurking and more work to be done. Ruby (Lucy Lawless) is ready to wreak havoc once again, and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) will be there to alert Ash and Pablo (Ray Santiago). Viewers will also meet Brandy Barr, Ash's long-lost daughter, who will be played by Arielle Carver-O'Neill.
"Ash vs Evil Dead" season 3 will premiere on Sunday, Feb. 25, on Starz.
