Ashley Hebert, JP Rosenbaum Married: 'Bachelorette' Wedding to Air on ABC
Bachelorette star Ashley Hebert has officially tied the knot with fiancé J.P. Rosenbaum. Hebert met her fiancé on Season 7 of "The Bachelorette."
Rosenbaum proposed to Hebert in May 2011 while the cast was filming in Fiji. The pair wed during a private ceremony in Pasedena, California with only friends and family over the weekend.
"Today is all about our friends and family. It's about standing with J.P., looking around at all the people we love in the same room there to celebrate our love," Hebert told People magazine before the wedding began.
The nuptials were filmed on camera however and will air during a two hour special, Dec. 16 on ABC. The couple will become the second union to make it to the alter after 24 seasons of the "Bachelorette."
Both Rosenbaum and Hebert were cautious about letting film cameras tape their wedding. During a June interview Rosenbaum stated that he would not permit any camera that interfered in the union.
"I would get married on TV, only if we had the kind of control we wanted," he told CelebBuzz." 'We don't want it to be a circus. We want it to be a real wedding."
Hebert added, "I they give us any reason that it isn't going to be what we want, we won't do it."
Hebert was selected as the Bachelorette after being rejected by Brad Womack in the previous season of "The Bachelor."
Womack eventually chose Emily Maynard during the show, but the pair split and Maynard later also went on to appear on the "Bachelorette."
Rosenbaum is currently employed at J Companies New York, while Hebert is currently finishing off a speciality in paediatric dentistry at St Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia.
