Ashley Judd Blasts Plastic Surgery Rumors

After Ashley Judd appeared puffy during an interview earlier the week, the actress has denied rumors that she underwent plastic surgery.

The 36-year-old has made numerous public appearances lately promoting her new series "Missing." While giving an interview to a Canadian talk show, the actress' face appeared puffy, sparking rumors that Judd had gone under the knife.

"For the record, this is unequivocally not true," Judd's rep, Cara Trippicchio, told E! News. The publicist explained that Judd has been ill and is heavily medicated, causing puffiness.

"Ashley has been battling an ongoing, serious sinus infection and flu," continued the rep. "Therefore, Ashley has been on a heavy dose of medication to overcome it so she could get on a plane and travel to Toronto and New York to fulfill her commitment of completing four consecutive days of press to promote her new show 'Missing.'"

The rep added that speculation over the actress' appearance is "a silly and erroneous topic of conversation."

"Anyone who is truly paying attention and not looking to perpetuate a ridiculous story can look online further at photos of her last night during an Apple Store event in NYC and see for themselves that there is zero sign of plastic surgery," Trippicchio said.

Of Judd, Trippicchio added, "Ashley is a natural beauty enjoying her 40s gracefully."

Judd further dismissed the rumors via Twitter on Wednesday.

"Thanks to all asking how I've been feeling, still very sick (flu + viral infection in sinuses = wicked) but staying positive & having fun," wrote the actress.

Responding to a fan, Judd wrote, "Steroids r dramatic. My clothes don't fit right, hard on a girl's self esteem, so lots of positive self talk & love."

The "Missing" star also noted the stress of her recent press tour.

"Whoah, that was a marathon, 3 straight hours of live interviews about #Missing," wrote Judd on her Twitter account. "I am 75% through this 4 day (exhausting) whirlwind. UN Next!"

The philanthropist and humanitarian is involved in numerous charities and organizations dedicated to improving the lives of people across the world. Judd's television series, "Missing," premieres Thursday on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.

"Premiere of #Missing tomorrow is reaching a feverish pitch. I'm really glad it's finally airing. Thank you everyone for your excitement," Judd posted to Twitter.
