Ashley Judd Reunited With Husband Post-Crash
Ashley Judd announced her split from her husband Dario Franchitti in January, but rushed to the race car driver's side following Sunday's crash.
Franchitti suffered a terrible accident during the Houston Grand Prix, which caused the driver a concussion, a broken right ankle and two spinal fractures.
The high-speed crash also injured 13 fans as debris flew into the stands, according to the Associated Press.
Despite stating plans to end their 11-year marriage, Judd raced to Franchitti's side on Sunday.
"Thank you for the prayers for @dariofranchitti I have only clothes on my back & the dogs but that's all that we need & we are on our way," the actress wrote to her Twitter followers.
The 45-year-old actress visited the Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center where the three-time Indy 500 champ received treatment for his injuries, according to Us magazine.
"Amazed by the incredible outpouring of care & prayers," Judd added on Monday. "Thanks everyone. Keeping our heads down here & doing what's in front of us to do."
"Thank you to everyone for all the well wishes," Franchitti tweeted following the crash. "They mean a lot to me… I would also like to send my best to all the fans involved in the accident and hope that everyone is alright."
Meanwhile, Judd nor Franchitti have filed for a divorce despite announcing their separation back in January, and it is unclear whether the couple have reconciled or are just being supportive.
"We have mutually decided to end our marriage," the couple explained in a statement at the time. "We'll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based on the special love, integrity, and respect we have always enjoyed."
Judd and Franchitti are not the only celebrities to amicably split after marriage. Demi Moore remained friends with her ex-husband Bruce Willis following their divorce, as did Courtney Cox and ex David Arquette.
