Ashton Kutcher Parties Through Demi Moore's Health Crisis
As the news broke of Demi Moore's health crisis, Ashton Kutcher had been spotted partying in Brazil.
After attending a Bruno Mars concert, Kutcher was photographed in Sao Paulo nightclub surrounded by people.
Law enforcement spoke to TMZ saying that a call was placed late Monday night and that paramedics assessed Moore in her home before taking her to the local hospital.
Over the last couple of months, Moore has been forced to publicly cope with rumors of Kutcher's infidelity as well as her divorce from the actor. Her representative said in an official statement to TMZ that Moore checked into a hospital Monday "because of the stresses in her life right now."
The rep continued, "Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends."
Kutcher has not publicly commented on the recent events.
In the meantime, Moore is receiving support from her family, including three daughters she shares with ex-husband Bruce Willis.
Their youngest daughter, Rumer Willis, was spotted pacing outside the facility Moore has entered for substance abuse treatment and exhaustion. Visibly distraught, the 23-year-old was talking on her phone and smoking a cigarette wearing a visitor pass issued by the facility.
Moore, 49, and Kutcher are still awaiting the official documents to end their marriage, but the actress has been striding to remain optimistic amidst dark clouds of gossip and rumors. A source close to Moore revealed to US Weekly what Moore felt after filing for the divorce.
"She said [she] was going to change for the better," said the insider. "And she said that it was time for her to focus on herself again and her girls."
In announcing the end of her six-year marriage to Kutcher, Moore cited "values and vows" that she must uphold.
"As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain valued and vows that I hold scared, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life," said Moore in a statement.
