'Assassin's Creed: Origins' News: Learning More About the Mysterious Order of the Ancients
The members of the Order of the Ancients possess plenty of power within the world of the game
While taking on the role of protagonist Bayek, "Assassin's Creed: Origins" players may find themselves working in the shadows every now and then, carrying out missions while drawing as little attention as possible in the process.
Bayek may not be the only one doing this in the game, however, as even the figures who may end up being his foes will be doing a lot away from the eyes of the masses as well.
Over the course of going through the game, players will likely start to find some things that may be related in some way to a group known only as the Order of the Ancients.
Details about the Order were previously revealed over on the game's official website. The Order is made up of the "most powerful people in Egypt" who have managed to impose their will upon the people both through working in secret and through Pharoah Ptolemy XIII.
In a new video, associate narrative director Matthew Zagurak took some time to answer a few questions from fans wondering about the Order of the Ancients.
As Zagurak revealed, while the Order itself is unknown to most of the people in ancient Egypt, many of its individual members are actually influential figures of society.
Zagurak was also asked if the Order had a leader. He opted not to answer the question and instead indicated that finding the key to that will be one of the important things players will need to do inside "Assassin's Creed: Origins."
The members of the Order have proven in the past that they can be ruthless individuals, and they will do everything they can to maintain their hold over Egypt.
The Order of the Ancients is a powerful and potentially very dangerous group, and it may also be one that players will have to deal with inside "Assassin's Creed: Origins" once the game is released on Oct. 27.
