'Assassin's Creed: Origins' News: Xbox One X Version Observed Performing Better Than PC Counterpart

Xbox One X variant has also been described as 'the most beautiful version' by the game's director

"Assassin's Creed: Origins" will be released for current-gen platforms – the PC, PlayStation 4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One and the Xbox One X – next month. And for those interested in getting the best version of it thus far, it appears that one is standing out from the rest.

WCCF Tech's Dave Aubrey recently had an opportunity to check out the game during EGX 2017, and the writer shared some interesting observations about the experience.

After getting an opportunity to try out the PC version of the game, Aubrey noted that issues with framerate adversely affected the playing experience.

What is worth noting as well is that those perceived issues were apparently non-existent in the Xbox One X version of "Origins."

During an interview with We Write Things earlier this month, director Ashraf Ismail commented on what players can expect from "Assassin's Creed: Origins" as soon as it is released for current-gen platforms.

First off, the director made it clear that the game will offer the same experiences across all the platforms that will be supporting it. Ismail also revealed that he and the other developers are doing what they can to make sure that the game performs up to the best of its abilities regardless of which platform is used.

Still, there will be one version of the game that is going to be superior to the rest in terms of visuals, Ismail hinted.

The director described the Xbox One X variant as "the most beautiful version."

Visuals are not the only things that matter in a game, of course, but there appears to be a clear-cut choice for those who value those elements of a game greatly.

Fans of the series will be able to join Bayek on his travels through ancient Egypt as soon as "Assassin's Creed: Origins" is released for current-gen platforms on Oct. 27.
