When 12-year-old Maia Gough steps on stage, all the judges but Simon look happy to see what she is going to perform -- especially after telling them that she will be singing a Whitney Houston song. She certainly shocks them all when she sings this powerful rendition of a classic.
You will give this one a standing ovation yourself when you hear how powerful this girl sings at such a young age. Simon doesn't seem thrilled with the idea of her singing until she starts. Then he has a huge smile on his face. Most people who try to audition with a first song like this don't do well. Maia really knocks this audition of "I Have Nothing" out of the ballpark. Even Simon gets up to give her a standing ovation at the end. This is a MUST SEE!
