Speaking of their current league status, Madrid are tied with Barcelona in the Spanish La Liga in points. However, they are second only because of an inferior goal difference.
However, they have three games to get nine points and hope that the Catalans slip so they can climb on top of the ladder in the La Liga.
Meanwhile, the Bavarians are on top of the German Bundesliga as they hold a seven-point lead over fierce rivals Borussia Dortmund.
Also with only a few games remaining, Munich have the league title in sight, but they are also within a few games of the UEFA Champions League finals. A team with so much history and stars, they should be able to take care of business if they remain focused.
With that in mind, this should be a very intriguing game between the two powerhouse squads.
Madrid pushed through to the semifinals by ousting defending champions Barcelona in the quarters.
After being down 2-1 after the first leg, Madrid bounced back and won 2-0 to take the series 3-2 on aggregate.
They had their composure and stayed discipline and are now ready to face another tough team in Bayern Munich.
On the other hand, Munich had to face Benfica in the quarters and they took control with a 1-0 win in their home leg.
In the second leg, they settled for a 2-2 draw away from home but a 3-2 aggregate lead helped them advance.
