'Attack on Titan 2' Confirmed for Nintendo Switch, Bigger Roster and New Game Mechanics Teased
Koei Tecmo Entertainment has announced at the 2017 Tokyo Game Show (TGS) bringing its second "Attack on Titan" game to the Nintendo Switch.
When "Attack on Titan 2" was first announced last month, it was only confirmed for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC and ever since, gamers of the Switch have been holding out hope for the game to be brought to the Nintendo console as well.
Apart from the long-awaited confirmation, Koei Tecmo Entertainment also shared some details on the gameplay and features of "Attack on Titan 2" including "more diversified" 3D Maneuver Gear actions and "more exhilarating" battles courtesy of "evolved" Titan movements.

Koei Tecmo also announced that the roster in the sequel is "significantly" bigger than that of the first game, which featured 10 playable characters. A specific number was not revealed though.
"Attack on Titan 2" will also give players the ability to "have deep exchanges with the characters from the original work," although there is no explanation as to how this will be implemented.
The game will also add a new mode and a new creation system although the details about these two features remain unclear at this time.
As announced before, "Attack on Titan 2" will be based on the events of the second season of the manga of the same name, which means that things are about to get even more bloody and major deaths are at hand.
Apart from adapting the story, the gameplay will also be inspired from the fast-paced nature of the battles and action sequences in the hit anime, but with new game mechanics to spice things up.
Koei Tecmo also showcased a bunch of screenshots for "Attack on Titan 2" showing humanity versus Titans at its bloodiest. The famous Beast Titan, who plays a major role in the anime's second season, can also be seen. Fans can check the images out on NeoGAF.
"Attack on Titan 2" will be out early next year. Whether or not the second game's release to the Nintendo Switch means the first installment from last year will be brought over to the console as well remains to be seen.
