'Attack on Titan' Season 2 Episode 2: More of Beast Titan's Bloody Handiwork to Be Revealed in 'I'm Home'

The infamous Beast Titan has finally shown himself with dire consequences for one of Scout Regiment's section commanders. How can the recruits from the 104th cadet corps survive the horde of Titans when not even humanity's strongest soldier stood a chance?

The highly anticipated season 2 of the popular anime series "Attack on Titan" has finally started and it's definitely not pulling any punches especially now that the Beast Titan has come into play. Standing at over 17 meters tall with an ape-like appearance, the mysterious new Titan species can talk and even possesses the authority to order the mindless Titans around. He seems to be interested in the weapons humanity uses against his kind, and unlike his mindless subordinates, he does not exhibit a seemingly insatiable hunger for humans.

His appearance alone froze section commander Miche to fearful submission, which in turn led to his untimely death at the hands of the mindless Titans with one simple order from their leader.

The upcoming season 2 episode 2, which is the 27th overall episode of the anime, will continue to cover the 12 hours of the invasion of Wall Rose and the discovery of the mysterious Wall Titan. The next episode will specifically feature Sasha, one of the recruits from the 104th cadet corps, who will be leading the north team to a newly established village.

The trailer for said episode also teases Sasha's fellow recruit, Connie, coming home to find his village of Ragako in ruins. And although no sign of life can be found anywhere, Gelgar becomes suspicious of what really happened in the village, especially after they find an underdeveloped Titan lying on top of Connie's house.

The episode curiously titled "I'm Home" is expected to hint at the heartbreaking circumstances behind the fall of Ragako and the origin of the Titans that breached Wall Rose. Who is the mysterious Beast Titan and what has he done with Connie's folks?

"Attack on Titan" season 2 has just been confirmed to run for 12 episodes, which will later be released in two volumes on June 21 and Aug. 18. It currently airs on Saturdays in various broadcasting networks in Japan and can be streamed online via Crunchyroll, FUNimation, Anime Lab and Hulu.
