August Alsina is healthy enough to be released from the hospital after waking up from a coma and suffering from a seizure when performing in New York City last week.

Alsina, the 22-year-old singer from New Orleans, was in a medically induced coma and hooked up to a breathing machine following his collapse on stage during his recent performance. After he garnered public prayers and support from both fans and fellow entertainers, Alsina may be ready to move on from the hospital and shared his insight about the scariest time of his life.

"Healthy enough to [be] Discharged from the hospital today... Scariest time of my life.. but im a soulja & so is God," Alsina tweeted Tuesday. "Thank [you] for your prayers."

The singer who was voted BET's Best New Artist of the Year insists that God gave him a second chance to live.

"Recovery, it's a process. I woke from a coma.. God gave me a second chance at life & I'd like to thank each and every person that sent any form and expression of love thru gift, card, flowers or simply your kind words and prayers," he tweeted. "I'm a hustler, I'm a worker, I overwork myself at times but I'm a survivor and still here by the grace of God and your prayers. #AlsinaNation #Squadd We still here & time to go harder!"

Alsina first shared a graphic picture with his fans while he was in the hospital and reflected on some things that he took away from his health ordeal after awaking from a three day coma.

"..What I'm tryna say is cherish the ones in life who cherish you & take good care of yourself. Your life can be gone in a split second," Alsina wrote to fans on Twitter and Instagram. "I'm recovering well and thank [you] for all of your prayers & concerns."
