'Avengers 4' Plot and Cast News: Gwyneth Paltrow Hints at Return of Don Cheadle's War Machine
If there is one sad detail that fans know about "Avengers: Infinity War" by now, it is that there are going to be casualties after the epic battle between the Marvel superheroes and Thanos (Josh Brolin). Although it remains to be seen whose bodies will end up lying dead on the ground towards the end of the movie, it looks like one of the cast members of the movie has subtly revealed one of the characters who will certainly come out alive after the war.
In a recent interview with Gwyneth Paltrow, the actress talked about "Avengers 4" and might have unknowingly hinted that her "Iron Man 3" co-star Don Cheadle would also be part of the the last "Avengers" movie.
Discussing her experience so far, the actress told The Hollywood Reporter: "I went to Atlanta to do Avengers 4, so I'm in and out for that, and it's weird to go back and forth. We're growing fast, and balls are dropping all the time." She then added: "But honestly, I was on set and thought, 'You sit here for two hours sipping tea, Robert Downey Jr. and Don Cheadle are making me laugh hysterically—why the h*** did I give this up?"
Back in August, Paltrow affirmed that she would reprise her role for "Avengers 4" so it was not surprising that she was on its set. However, her recent statement was the first to hint that like her, Cheadle would also be back as James "Rhodey" Rhodes, aka War Machine.
If Paltrow's statement is anything to go by, then fans may safely assume that Cheadle will be one of those gearing up for "Avengers 4." Brie Larson's Captain Marvel, Paul Bettany's Vision and Sebastian Stan's Winter Soldier will also be part of the film.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, "Avengers: Infinity War" features Downey, Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Bettany, Paltrow and more. It is set for release on May 4, 2018. "Avengers 4" will come out a year after on May 3, 2019.
