'Avengers: Age of Ultron': New Trailer Released
A new trailer for the upcoming "Avengers: Age of Ultron" has been released.
The new footage gives fans a closer look at Ultron, the robot villain voiced by James Spader. The robot was created by Tony Stark/ Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), and it was programmed to have certain aspects of Stark's personality. While Tony has nothing but good intentions in creating Ultron, the robot develops a god complex and decides that the best way to solve the world's problems is to end humanity.
"Everyone creates the thing they dread," said Ultron in the trailer. "I'm going to tear you apart … from the inside."
Fans will notice the return of Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury, a mysterious character disrobing, an Iron Man vs Hulk fight, Thor grabbing Tony by the neck and lifting him as the two appear to have a confrontation, Black Widow about to undergo what looks like either torture or a very nasty surgical procedure.
Aside from Iron Man, Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and Black Widow (Scarlett Johanssen), other Avenger members are all featured in the trailer, which include Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans) and new member Wanda Maximoff/ Scarlet Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen. The film also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Pietro Maximoff/ Quicksilver, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Codie Smulders as Maria Hill, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" is the sequel to the first Avengers film, which premiered in 2012 and became the third highest grossing film to date. Two more films in the franchise will follow "Age of Ultron" — "Avengers: Infinity War Part 1" and "Avengers: Infinity War Part 2" which are slated for release in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" premieres on May 1.
