'Avengers: Infinity War' News, Release Date: Hulk and Rocket Raccoon Are Good Friends in the Film

Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) will have a new friend in Rocket Raccoon in the "Avengers: Infinity War," and theirs is going to be one of the oddest pairings in the upcoming film.

This fun detail about the next "Avengers" film was recently revealed by Ruffalo, who also said that Hulk and Rocket's tandem might actually be even more entertaining than Hulk and Thor's (Chris Hemsworth).

As previously reported, "Avengers: Infinity War" would feature plenty of crossovers and unexpected character interactions. One of those involves Rocket, the small raccoon that was first featured in "Guardians of the Galaxy." In Marvel comics, Rocket is the genetically enhanced furred animal who worked with the Guardians when they were hired by the Sovereign to kill the Abilisk.

Although Rocket's role in "Avengers: Infinity War" is still unknown, Ruffalo teased that he is going to bring in a great deal of humor to the upcoming film. Talking about the creature's tandem with Hulk, the actor said, "It's a very funny relationship that the two of them have. First of all, it's the biggest superhero and the smallest. Just keeping them in a frame together is a feat and hilarious in itself."

He went on to add that just the thought of having all the Marvel film franchises collide together in "Avengers: Infinity War" is already "a gag within itself."

Hulk and Rocket may look incredibly different from each other in terms of their size, but they actually share a lot of similarities. Aside from the fact that they are both CGI creations, Hulk and Rocket both have a temper problem, so fans can expect some great and hilarious exchanges between them in the upcoming film.

The "Avengers: Infinity War" cast includes Ruffalo as Hulk, Hemsworth as Thor, Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Chris Evans as Captain America, Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Josh Brolin as Thanos, and a lot more. The film hits theaters on May 4, 2018.
