Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner Split, Kim Kardashian Lends Support
Avril Lavigne has reportedly broken ties with her boyfriend of two years, reality star Brody Jenner.
Pop-punk singer, Avril Lavigne, became famous at the age of 17 when she released her debut album “Let Go” with its number one single “Complicated.” Her and reality star Brody Jenner, who became famous for dating Lauren Conrad on “The Hills,” began dating in 2009. The break up was reported by a source to Life & Style magazine.
“It wasn't working out and they wanted to go their separate ways,” a source reported to the magazine. Varying reasons behind the breakup have surfaced. Some have said that the breakup was due to different views on marriage.

A different source told Life & Style, “She wanted to settle down, but he wasn't exactly ready.” According to the magazine, “They had been having problems starting in the summer with her tour because she was on the road all the time. It put a strain on their relationship.”
The source also said that Lavigne was keeping the reality star from putting his career back together. "Every time he wanted to come back and take meetings to get his career back in order, she would make him go to Asia and Europe."
The couple had gotten tattoos with each other’s names back in 2010, as a mark of their devotion to each other. Jenner is also the son of Bruce Jenner, former Olympic decathlete and stepfather to Kim Kardashian.
“Remember, people only rain on your parade because they're jealous of your sun & tired of their shade,” Kim Kardashian tweeted to Lavigne last week before rumors of the split surfaced.
