Avril Lavigne Brody Jenner Fight: Bloodied Singer Tweets Violence is 'Never the Answer'

After news broke out on Sunday that Avril Lavigne and reality star boyfriend Brody Jenner got into a violent brawl in L.A. in the early hours of the morning, the pop-rock star has gone on Twitter to say that “Violence is never the answer.”

TMZ reported that the fight took place at a bar at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, where security guards were forced to intervene. From what is known, Lavigne was having an argument with another female, which turned into a physical altercation, and ended with her boyfriend, Jenner, getting struck by a bottle in the head.

Lavigne has since gone on Twitter to inform fans of her condition, and share some details of what happened.

“To clear things up I got attacked by 5 people last night out of nowhere. Not cool,” she tweeted, and went on to reveal the full extent of her injuries:

“As in black eye, bloody nose, hair ripped out, scratches, bruises and cuts.”

The Canadian singer is known for her edgy attitude, and the fact that she would get into a bar-room brawl may not come as a complete surprise to many. However, Lavigne has also said that she does not support violence; that she was the one that was attacked and was only defending herself, and that she does not believe in fighting at all.

Her tweets shared: “I don't fight. I don't believe in it,” and “so not ok to be abusive to others. Violence is NEVER the answer."

No arrests have been made so far, and Jenner was the only one at the scene when police arrived to investigate. Despite his injured head, he was well enough to go to the hospital on his own and refused immediate medical attention. TMZ also shared that the police report describes him as a “victim of an assault with a deadly weapon.”
