Axl Rose on 'Jimmy Kimmel': I Don't Vote Because I Live in California (VIDEO)

Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose made his first live television appearance Wednesday night on Jimmy Kimmel after a 20-year hiatus.

Its been more than 20 years since Axl Rose has graced a live audience with his presence on television. But in celebration of his 12-night residency at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas, which begins Oct. 31, the singer has broken his silence. Rose, 50, is the only remaining member of the original Guns N' Roses band.

The audience couldn't seem to contain their excitement after Rose appeared on stage to a roaring applause.

"You're right on time. You're punctual. It's unbelievable," Kimmel prompted, beginning the interview. "It's a miracle," Rose responded.

"I know you don't do this a lot so I'm honor to have you. I really appreciate it," Kimmel stated and then paused before asking, "Why are you doing this?" Rose only shrugged and responded that he was "asked" to come.

Kimmel went on with the interview, asking Rose how he first came to Hollywood and then how long it took before the band became profitable.

"How long was before you guys started making money as a professional musician?" Kimmel asked. "I … I don't know if I'm making money now," Rose responded.

He added that it took a few years to make money and in the meantime, he served as a manager at Tower Videos for a very short period, stating that it didn't last long because he "let everyone have beers after work."

Rose admitted that one of the most evil things that he had ever done was to invent a Halloween tree one time for Trick-or-Treaters. He said that children would come by and stare at the tree in awe and he would ask, "What, you don't have a Halloween tree?" before handing them a present. As a result, he claimed to have received a number of unhappy parent phone calls.

When asked if he was a voter, Rose admitted that he "hadn't really voted."

"I'm in California and it usually leans Democratic and that's usually where I'm leaning anyway," Rose explained. After more questioning he admitted, "I'm not helping."
