Baby Blue Ivy Name Now a Strain of Marijuana
Beyonce and Jay-Z's baby, Blue Ivy, has already made all sorts of headlines from the name being code for Illuminati, to Jay-Z recording the baby's first cries for his new song "Glory" – now the baby is a type of marijuana.
TMZ has reported that several Los Angeles weed dispensaries have a new type of weed called "OG Blue Ivy." The 661 Medical in Rosamond, Calif., tweeted about their new shipment on Jan. 12. "#newstrain #newstrain #newstrain IVY BLUE OG #kush $20 gram $55 8th #newstrain."
The Huffington Post reported, that legally the celebrity power-couple do not have any licensing on Blue Ivy's name yet, therefore they cannot take legal action against the pot makers.
On a positive note for Blue Ivy, she has already appeared on the Billboard 100 of her daddy's track for her, "Glory." Receiving a credit for the song, she is the youngest person to ever appear on the chart.
Blue Ivy is Jay-Z and Beyonce's second attempt at starting a family as they previously experienced a miscarriage which is revealed in the new song. Jay rapped in the song, "Last time the miscarriage was so tragic/We was afraid you'd disappear/But nah baby you magic."
The beat, produced by Pharrell, shows a different side of Jay-Z, perhaps his newly discovered fatherly side.
"The most amazing feeling I feel, words can’t describe what I’m feeling for real/ Baby, I paint the sky blue, my greatest creation was you," said the rapper in the song.
He uses this song as an intro to the world for his daughter as he throws away his bravado and hustler ambitions to be a proud dad.
The stars' baby, Blue Ivy Carter, became a trending topic on Twitter as fans and tweeters from all over the world were commenting on the strangeness of the name and then its origin.
The baby's name came from Jay-Z's love of the color blue and the success he has had with his Blueprint albums. Ivy comes from the number four (IV). The number four is Beyonce’s special number that reoccurs in her life. They provided their own symbolism and methods for the name. Blue has four letters as well.
