Baby Lisa Irwin Missing: Emergency Custody Motion Filed for Brother Blake

As mystery continues to shroud the case of missing baby Lisa Irwin, details have emerged that reveal the biological mother of one of her brothers has filed an “Emergency Motion for Temporary Custody.”

Blake Irwin, 8, is the son of Jeremy Irwin and Rasleen Raim, who lost custody of the child in 2008. Raim now says she is concerned for his safety and wants him to live with her, according to Radar Online.

A statement released Monday by Raim’s lawyer, Dorothy L. Savory, explained the reasoning behind the move.

"Mrs. Raim has always kept her son, Blake Irwin, in her thoughts and prayers. Now, more than ever, she is concerned about her baby’s safety, comfort and peace of mind,” said Savory’s statement.

"Rasleen misses her son and has always, and will forever, love him,” Savory added.

Some rumors surrounding the case have questioned the involvement of baby Lisa’s mother, Deborah Bradley, in her daughter’s disappearance. The mother was smoking and drinking outside with a neighbor the night baby Lisa went missing.

Bradley was so intoxicated that she could not recall if she checked in on her daughter before she went to bed. When Jeremy Irwin arrived home from work at around 3:30 a.m., he found the doors unlocked and their daughter missing.

Lisa’s two older brothers, Blake, and 5-year-old Michael, were sleeping in their beds during the night of the disappearance, according to reports. Trained professionals interviewed Lisa’s brothers twice. However, the parents initially protested against a second interview because they feared it would put too much pressure on their sons.

Although more than a month has passed since baby Lisa was first reported missing, the Kansas City Police Department is not calling off the search.

The situation looks increasingly difficult for the family, however, as they will now face a legal fight to stop another one of their children from being taken away.
