Baby Lisa Irwin Missing: Lawyer Says Family Is Cooperating

The attorney for baby Lisa Irwin's parents said on Monday that his clients are fully cooperating in the search for their missing 11-month-old daughter and the public fails to realize it.

Attorney Joe Tacopina said the family will continue to cooperate with authorities and that they have been compliant from the beginning of the investigation.

Recently, suspicions have been raised regarding the involvement of baby Lisa's parents, Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin, in the disappearance of their daughter. Bradley changed the timeline she gave authorities on when she last saw baby Lisa and also said she was drunk the night Lisa went missing.

Last week, the family's legal team canceled interviews between baby Lisa's brothers and authorities in an effort to shield the family from the media.

The boys, ages 6 and 8, were in the house and heard noises the night baby Lisa went missing.

Tacopina was asked on ABC's "Good Morning America" whether the interviews with the boys would be rescheduled.

"Absolutely. There was never an issue. Some of the logistics were an issue. I’ve been reading and hearing a lot of things that have been reported about cancellations of meetings and such. It’s been wildly inaccurate, a lot of this stuff," he said.

Tacopina went on to say that he has a problem with how the case has been conducted so far.

"One of the issues I’m having right now with the way this case has been handled is we’re playing a little too much, with all due respect to you all, to the media. This is a search for an 11-month-old missing baby. We have two parents who are absolutely devastated and grieving. To me, notifying the press every time we have a meeting set up is not something I think is advantageous to either side or this investigation," Tacopina said.

Lisa Irwin disappeared from her Missouri home on Oct. 4. Police have searched her entire home, surrounding areas and even a lake in an attempt to track her down.
