Baby Lisa Irwin Missing: Police Still Investigating Mysterious Cellphone Call

Police have not made any progress in the case of missing Missouri baby Lisa Irwin, but authorities are still looking into a mysterious phone call made from her mother's cellphone the night Lisa went missing.

A phone call was made to Megan Wright from Lisa's mother's cellphone that was thought to be stolen along with Lisa.

Both of Lisa's parents have said they could not make phone calls during the night, according to a KCTV5 report.

Wright said she did not get the call because she did not have her cellphone. She also said she shared her cellphone with seven other people.

However, a person who lives with Wright said this is false and the members of the house do not share a mobile phone.

Wright is the ex-girlfriend of neighborhood repairperson John Tanko, who has been repeatedly questioned by police. Tanko has a history of break-ins in the area but police have recently cleared him from any involvement in the case.

Lisa went missing from her Missouri home Oct. 4. Her case received national attention due to the strange events that took place the night she disappeared.

Lisa's mother, Deborah Bradley, admitted she fell asleep drunk the night the baby vanished. Lisa's father, Jeremy Irwin, worked an unusual night shift and did not return home until 4 a.m. He noticed his daughter was not in her crib and called the authorities.

Lisa's first birthday is on Friday and her grandfather, David Netz Jr. told the Kansas City Star Monday it will be an emotional time for the family.

"That's gonna be the oh-my-God moment,” said Netz.

"I can't even imagine what that day will be like. What will we do? How will we get through that? I don't even know how to ask Debbie and Jeremy what we should do or how to help them through that," Netz added.

Police have conducted interviews all month and have searched the entire Irwin home and surrounding areas to find her.
