'Bachelorette' Ashley Hebert Pregnant With First Child
A baby is on the way for former "Bachelorette" star Ashley Hebert and husband J.P. Rosenbaum. The couple met on the reality series and married on TV in December 2012. This is the first child for both, and they could not be more excited.
"I'm a little nervous, but we're very excited," Hebert told In Touch. "I've wanted a child for a while."
The couple had apparently been trying for two months when they learned they were pregnant. Of course, since everything is "Bachelor" related for them, they discovered they were pregnant at the wedding of "Bachelor" star Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici. Hebert took several tests that she thought were positive but wanted to be 100 percent sure. She took one final test while in Santa Barbara for Lowe's wedding.
"There was legitimately a line. That's when we officially found out – of course it would be at a 'Bachelor' wedding," Rosenbaum joked. "It's nice not to have to keep a secret anymore. We're beyond thrilled."
The couple chose to announce the pregnancy via In Touch, with a cover featuring Hebert's bare belly bump and the exclamation: "We're Pregnant!"
"They are both so thrilled," a source close to the couple told People. "J.P. is especially excited – they have both wanted this for a while."
The couple's entire relationship has played out in front of an audience, so it's only natural for them to share the news first-hand and in a big way. According to Hebert, there is likely to be another baby on the way at some point in the future.
"I want one kid and J.P. wants two kids," she told People. "We'll probably have two."
Hebert, who is currently working to finish her dental residency, will likely be finished with school by June, just in time for the baby, which is due in October. Rosenbaum works as a construction manager in New York City.
