Bachmann Faces Gay Robot as New Opponent
Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann was hassled by a gay robot last week, while attempting to present her campaign ideas at the Hamburg Inn in Iowa.
Bachmann, who has been subjected to criticism from gay activists in the past for not supporting gay rights, was met by two dozen Occupy Iowa activists, one being a robot, who chanted, “You're not wanted here. So go, just go.”
Demonstrators also played loud Christmas music, making it difficult for those in attendance to hear her speech. The robot, who refers to himself as Roboprof, followed Bachmann into the venue before being asked to leave by campaign supporters. Although Roboprof declined at first, he eventually gave way to the persistence of the staff.

“Michele Bachmann will fix the economy by laying off workers and cutting their pay,” the protesters shouted.
“Michele Bachmann fights proudly for marriage unless the couple happens to be gay,” cried out protesters, who wish to redefine the original meaning of marriage as something other than between a man and a woman.
Bachmann has stood strong on her views on same-sex marriage. She has argued that gays have not suffered any discrimination with regards to marriage, as they possess the same rights as heterosexual people in that they can choose marry in the same way as anyone else, and are not prohibited from marrying within the meaning of marriage – which is the union of a man and a woman.
"They can get married, but they abide by the same law as everyone else. They can marry a man if they're a woman. Or they can marry a woman if they're a man," said Bachmann, who has staunchly defended marriage from any redefinition being proposed by gay activists.
Polls have revealed the Minnesota congresswoman to be in fifth place in Iowa, trailing behind Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney and Rick Perry.
Eventually police were called to the event to keep the peace; no arrests were made. Bachmann is not the only politician to receive a visit from Roboprof, who also showed up to one of Clinton’s speeches in 2007.
