'Basketball Wives LA' Returns With 2 New Castmates and Recurring Drama (VIDEO)
"Basketball Wives LA" is returning to Vh1 in September and the show promises to deliver the standard drama and cattiness that is prevalent throughout the popular franchise, and one prior cast mate has been replaced with two new additions.
Among the returning cast mates is Malaysia Pargo, wife of Atlanta Hawks player Jannero Pargo; Gloria Govan, on-and-off girlfriend and ex-fiancee of the Los Angeles Lakers' Matt Barnes; Gloria's sister Laura Govan, the fiancee of NBA star and free agent Gilbert Arenas; Draya Michele, a model and aspiring actress who has dated several NBA and music stars; and popular outcast Jackie Christie, wife of retired NBA star Doug Christie.
Imani Showalte, ex-fiancee of San Antonio Spurs player Stephen Jackson, will not be returning to the reality TV show. Instead, viewers will be introduced to Brooke Bailey, a model and video vixen who is also the ex-girlfriend of Miami Heat's Rashard Lewis.

Another newcomer is Adiz "Bambi" Benson, a rapper and model who is also Pargo's best friend. As seen in the new supertrailer, Benson appears to clash with Bailey over a former love interest and their rivalry appears to divide the group.
As expected, Tanya Williams and Kimsha Artest did not return for season two, and according to reports the decision to leave was mutual with that of Vh1 producers.
Although the vast majority of the Vh1 cast ended season one on a positive note following the reunion show special, many of the women are faced with both new and recurring problems in the upcoming season.
In a bizarre twist, the Govan sisters appear to have had a falling out, which subsequently stopped them from speaking for eight months.
"Theres some things going on I would say," Laura said.
"I just broke up with Matt for eight months, I didn't hear from you once!" Gloria said before Laura explained, "I kind of wanted to stay away from that."
"That s--- hurts my heart, what do I do? What does this mean? I didn't know who to ask, or who to talk to about it," a tearful Gloria told Laura before explaining their situation in another segment. "I haven't talked to my sister in so long that we're both just bawling, we could barely get words out."
Christie, whose mother passed away in season one, is also seen crying in a separate segment, presumably over her tragic loss while at a party as Pargo attempts to comfort her.
"Try, try, try ... just think about like the good stuff," Pargo pleaded with an emotional Christie, who responded with "I'm trying Malaysia."
Draya appears to have remained a hot topic amongst her cast mates as she is seen in one segment arguing with Christie and in another confronting Bailey over gossip.
"You and Gloria had a whole Draya bashing session ... see this is why I like to be by myself," Draya blasted Bailey.
Viewers can ultimately expect to see vicious confrontations and neverending problems in the new season of "Basketball Wives LA," which airs on Sept 10 on Vh1.
