'Basketball Wives' Not Canceled; VH1 Confirms Reunion Special Will Air
VH1 executives have slammed reports that "Basketball Wives" has been canceled and confirmed that both Season 4's finale show and reunion special will be aired despite reports that the episodes had been pulled.
On Thursday, website Power 105.1.com posted an explosive article which suggested that the controversial reality TV show had been canceled, and VH1 confirmed that the article was false, according to S2S Magazine.
"GOODBYE: VH1 Declares That It's A Wrap For 'Basketball Wives.' Well, for those who were against the show, it's really over," Power 105.1.com's headline read.

VH1 confirmed that the season 4 finale show of "Basketball Wives" will air on May 28 at 8 p.m. EST.
The network also states that the first half of the two-part reunion special will air on June 4 at 8 p.m. EST and part two will air the following week on June 11 at 8 p.m. EST.
On May 15 it was confirmed that the show had been renewed for a fifth season despite an increase in calls to boycott the program, and both Shed Media, who produces the show along with the VH1 network, who airs it, have agreed to change the show's violence policy, according to a recent statement.
"Shed Media US is fully committed to telling the compelling stories of the Basketball Wives in a balanced way. Our producing partner Shaunie O'Neal feels strongly about this, and we fully agree with this stance," a Shed Media statement read.
"We support her as she encourages the cast members to work out issues in a non-violent fashion. We look forward to working with her and the rest of the cast on conveying more balance in the next season," it went on to read.
The reality show follows the drama-filled lives of women who have been romantically involved with professional basketball players, and viewers are often confronted with scenes that feature swearing, slapping, punching, hair pulling and glass throwing among the cast members.
The show received widespread backlash after episode 13 when viewers witnessed scenes showing one cast member, Tami Roman, openly bullying her co-star, Kesha Nichols, during a trip to the island of Tahiti.
Although Roman, 41, publicly apologized for her antics, a growing number of viewers, including former "The View" co-host Star Jones, began boycotting the show.
