Citing TV Guide's episode summary, it is said that Norman's relationship with his mother will wither. A sneak peek for this episode released by A&E even pointed out the romance budding between Norman and Emma. Could this create a problem with his mother?

The synopsis meanwhile added that the young Bates will be asked with some hard questions by Romero (Nestor Carbonell).

And no, this couldn't be about Annika's disappearance. In fact, the sheriff will inquire about Norman's teacher, Miss Watson (Keegan Connor Tracy) who disappeared back in Season 1.

For all the mysteries that have been keeping avid followers glued into the show, executive producer Kerry Ehrin said in an interview with TV Guide (Latin Post) that the "worst" should always be expected.

"I think that you should always assume the worst because it is Bates Motel," said the showrunner. "There's no reliable narrator and the audience often has to interpret or project what they think something is. The ending was very much designed for that."

"Bates Motel" airs Monday, 9 p.m. on A&E.
