'Bates Motel' Season 4 Premiere Date Fixed For March 2016

Fans have been patiently waiting on when the new season of "Bates Motel" will air, and finally, the good news arrived since it was announced that season 4 will premiere in March 2016.

"Bates Motel" is a lose adaptation of Robert Block's novel "Psycho" and tells about the story of Norman Bates, before becoming the most notorious killer as seen in the movie of the same title. It stars Freddie Highmore as Norman Bates and Vera Farmiga as Norman's mother, Norma. The two live in their small motel, the Bates Motel, in Oregon to start a new life, but things did not actually happen as what Norma had planned for them. The last season of the show ended last May and it was confirmed to return next year.

According to Movie News Guide, the show will be back next spring, and it will continue the story of Norman's mental decline. The website said that he is slowly showing signs of becoming a psycho, and season 4 will be darker and more troubling for everyone.

The article also said that the fourth season, which will run with 10 episodes, will bring another character into the show, and it will be played by actress Jamie Ray Newman. Her character will be Sheriff Romero's (Nestor Carbonell) ex, and fans wonder what role she'll play in Norman's life, but more especially in Norma's, who has feelings for the town's sheriff.

Meanwhile, Cinema Blend said that "Bates Motel" will also run until 2017, since season 5 was just confirmed by the show's network, A&E. The website said that the show's developers, Carlton Cuse, Kerry Ehrin, and Anthony Cipriano, originally wanted to have at least five seasons, and viewers wonder if season 5 will be the season that the Norman Bates in the 1960's Alfred Hitchcock film will finally emerge. The network has not confirmed if season 5 will be the conclusion of the TV series, but loyal fans still hope that Norman's story will still continue on.

"Bates Motel" will be back with a new season on March 28 next year, on A&E.
